Hello my name is Marie Allgood. I am an EDM 310 student at the University of South Alabama. I love ice breakers. I plan to use these in my classroom. I believe that ice breakers can help ease new students into a classroom. They help students interact with each other without feeling overwhelmed. Kelly-I noticed your tweet regarding 20% project with your students. I”ve been contemplating doing this with my 7th grade students for the final quarter of the year, as a trial run for next year. There are a few pictures that imply things not age appropriate, but if you supervise carefully, you can move past those. I like the way it stretches your thinking to figure out the commonality. From another addict!

Hello my name is Bailey Baker I attend University of South Alabama and I am in EDM 310.

I like this video because I agree with her when she said women are more than one thing! I also really admire her to go for what she really loves to do. Even if it is more that one thing! It was also interesting knowing that all the formulas on “Big Bang Theory” are real because when i watch that show I really do wonder if it is! : )

I like the video read aloud books, too. It does show the kids that it’s ok for a man to like to read, too. I think it’s a great way to watch the kids and observe their listening skills. I’ll be using this in my classroom one day! Thank you for the links for the videos!
